Multi-Market Lighting Retailer
Connecting inspiration content with Shopify product discovery.
A lighting retailer needed a flexible inspiration gallery with predictable content order, room filtering and optional product hotspots. We developed and tested the gallery behavior within its Shopify storefront work.
Predictable gallery sequence
Organized filter order
Images remain visible without a link
The brief
The gallery needed to preserve the intended display order, support browsing by room and keep inspiration images visible even when they were not connected to a product. Product hotspots needed to appear only when their underlying data was complete.
What we built
- 01A controlled display orderImplemented the defined sequence for display positions 1–52.
- 02Room filtersOrganized the filters so visitors can browse the gallery by room.
- 03Optional product connectionsKept images visible when a link or hotspot was absent.
- 04Conditional hotspotsDisplayed a hotspot only when both the product and its coordinates were available.
The completed result
The gallery implementation and its behaviors were completed and tested. The resulting component supported ordered inspiration content, room filtering and optional product discovery from the same visual experience.
The gallery does not depend on every inspiration image having complete hotspot data.
Scope of the story
This story covers the completed inspiration gallery functionality within ongoing multi-market Shopify work. It does not assign a revenue, conversion or traffic change to the gallery.
